Professor Theresa Marteau is director of the Behavioural and Health Research Unit based at Cambridge. The research unit is funded by the Department of Health who invested £5m over five years. [1] Theresa Marteau is also an academic advisor to the cabinet Office's Behavioural Insights Team. The research funding is intended to provide the government with evidence on the effectiveness, value for money, and impact on health inequalities of interventions delivered at individual, community and population levels. [2]
