According to the Sunday Times Rich List:


Three Barrels, the popular French brandy, is a new stablemate of Glenfiddich, the bestselling single malt whisky. In 2005, William Grant, the Banffshire whisky company, bought Raynal, the French distiller based in Cognac, in a deal reckoned to be worth about £50m. William Grant, which also distils Grant’s, The Balvenie and Hendrick’s Gin, revealed an 8.1% leap in profits to £77.3m on turnover of £352.6m in 2005. The business is worth £800m and past dividends take the family to £900m after tax.[1]
