Career
Whale first joined The Russell Partnership between 1986 as an assistant, eventually rising to managing director and finally taking a seat on the board as a director, before leaving in 1997.
In 1997 he joined Bell Pottinger Communications as a director, for 3 years[1].
In 2000 he was hired as managing director of Luther Pendragon, where he has overseen the purchases of Quintus Public Affairs Ltd[2] and Lucid Communication[3].
He is also non-executive director and vice-chairman of PG Mutual[4].
