Ruth Schreiber (née Merel; GRO Ruth M Merel, 1947 Q3, Staines, mother’s maiden name Diller) is a British-born artist living and working in Jerusalem.[1][2]
She married David A Schreiber in Hendon, 1967 Q3.[3] That groom is David Abraham Schreiber (GRO David A Schreiber, 1947 Q3, Staines, mother’s maiden name Weinstock; Companies House band July 1947 on S.W.I. Trustees Limited).[4][5]
Same 1947 Q3 district, sequential GRO pages (534 / 538), 1967 Hendon marriage, Weinstock mother matching Sara Schreiber (née Weinstock) on the Schreiber Charitable Trust, and the later eruv-committee David married to the artist Ruth, are one couple. He is not David Schreiber (August 1952, Midos) or David Schreiber (born 1976).
Family
Father Nathan Merel and siblings left Sassanfahrt for the United Kingdom before the war. Grandparents Samuel and Minna Merel: letters used in Letters from My Grandparents (2010–) and the 2021 Schloss Sassanfahrt exhibition (historian Rainer Zeh; cousins Jenny Orenstein née Merel, Mindy Ebrahimoff).[6]
On the husband’s side: mother Sara Schreiber (née Weinstock); he compiled The Weinstock Letters: 1939–1948 (Kindertransport). He is co-trustee of the Schreiber Charitable Trust with Sara.[4]

Benjamin Emmanuel is the 1974 Q3 St Marylebone birth; Community Chronicle (17 December 1993) names Benji Schreiber, son of eruv committee member David Schreiber. Working trustee identity: Dr Benjamin Emanuel Schreiber on Israel Special Kids Fund - UK (1138932).
Jerusalem 1977 and 1982 show the household registering children there years before the 2003 profile that dates David’s move to 1995. Avital’s 1986 Westminster registration shows a UK return in the mid-1980s (furniture-sale period).

A 2003 profile: London-born, Hendon in 1987 when Rabbi Alan Kimche asked for a committee; moved to Jerusalem in 1995 and kept travelling back.[8] A research note dated Ruth’s own move to 1980; print both dates.
