Rory Macrae
Rory Macrae is a partner at GPlus since 30 August 2006, and specialises in trade policy and strategic communications. He is currently advising Asian palm oil producers on sustainability issues linked to the biofuels debate and a leading international food company on the reform of the EU banana regime.

Background
During his time at GPlus, Macrae has directed a media and political campaign for the Korean shipbuilders and a strategy to build up the Brussels reputation of leading UK insurance and banking groups. He has substantial experience of the debates surrounding state aid and export subsidies to European industry.[1]
Before joining GPlus, he spent four years tackling some of the toughest EU regulatory problems whilst working for a global public relations agency in Brussels. He advised parties and handled media relations in sensitive international trade disputes on aerospace subsidies, shipbuilding and trademarks in the spirits industry.[2]
Macrae previously worked for the London bureau of the Mainichi Shimbun, one of Japan's biggest daily newspapers, and top Brussels think-tank, the European Policy Centre. He also has experience of working in the European Commission's department for External Relations.[3]
