Ray Kelvin
Ray Kelvin is founder and chief executive of clothing brand Ted Baker plc.
Career
In 1973 Kelvin founded womenswear clothes suppliers PC Clothing Limited and in 1988 he started Ted Baker in Glasgow.[1] Kelvin made the move to his own brand because he wanted to sell his own clothes rather than supply chain stores in the UK.[2]
Letter to the Telegraph
On 1 April 2015 Kelvin was one of 103 business leaders who wrote to the Telegraph praising the British Conservative Party's economic policies and claiming a Labour government would 'threaten jobs and deter investment' in the UK.[3]
