- German annexation of Austria. Lovestone travels to Vienna to rescue ICO leaders.[2]
- 11 - Germans cross Austrian border.[3]
- 12 - Lovestone sees Austrian Nazis marching in the streets.[4]
- 15 - Nikolai Bukharin shot.[5]

- 1 - SIS Section D created.[6]
- 9 - Lovestone condemns Stalin over death of Bukharin.[7][8]

- 18 - Homer Martin suspends United Auto Workers (UAW) board members Walter Reuther walks out.[9]

- 17 - Lovestone burgled by Communists.[10]
- 25 - Burgled Lovestone material produced at UAW disciplinary.[11]
