Paul Clark MP
Paul Clark MP was the Labour Party Member of Parliament for Gillingham from 1997 to 2010. Clark was reportedly not re-elected in 2010 due to the expenses scandal as he claimed £1,200 a month in rent for his London flat before ‘flipping’ his second home and claiming mortgage interest on a house in Kent. Following his loss at the 2010 election, Clark however, was given a payoff of £47,279. Just five years after this resettlement grant, Clark has been recalled to the Labour Party to stand as their constituent for Gillingham in the upcoming 2015 general election. [2]
