The National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) is the UK government's National Technical Authority for physical and personnel protective security. According to its own site and GOV.UK, NPSA is part of the Security Service (MI5). It says it has "absorbed the responsibilities of the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure, but with a broader remit", and that its mission is "Building resilience to national security threats".[1][2]
GOV.UK states that the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure "has closed. It has been replaced by the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA)".[3]
