Nahum Bernstein

Nachum Bernstein was a US lawyer who acquired bugging, wiretapping and surveillance skills while working on insurance cases. During World War Two, he worked for the Office of Strategic Services, where he learnt the method of one-time pad encryption. In 1947, he was recruited to teach intelligence-gathering and cryptography to the Zionist Haganah militia.[1]
