In the news

  • A High Court judgment of June 2026 concerns the estate of Moshe Yitzak Yehuda Brinner, who died on 26 August 2024. His widow had applied for a substitute personal representative to replace the executor, his son Avigdor Azriel Brinner. The estate includes one A share in Devonstate Ltd, and the widow argued that the estate was missing assets, including interests in Archester Limited and Devonstate. Deputy Master Valentine found that her claims were 'not without any prospect of success' but 'not supported by strong evidence at present'. He called it 'a finely balanced case' and held it 'narrowly preferable' that an independent third party complete the administration of the estate. None of the claims about the assets has been decided.[5]
