An United States government corporation established in January 2004 to assist some of the poorest countries in the world. Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) strives on the principle that aid is effective when it strengthens good governance and economic freedom. The mission of MCC is "to reduce global poverty through the promotion of sustainable economic growth."
