Leslie Wolfson

Leslie Wolfson was a leading Glasgow based Zionist activist and lawyer. (born June 1929 in Pollokshields - died January 2016 at 86, Eastwood and Mearns)

His mother's maiden name was Frank. He married Alma R Wolfson (nee Woolfson) in 1964 in Glasgow (South).

Mr. Wolfson is a highly engaged member of the Jewish community and has held numerous leadership positions in Scottish Jewish organizations, among them as Chairman of UJIA in Scotland and provincial Vice-Chairman for the UK. He has held two committee chairmanships in the International Bar Association and was its representative on the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva. He is the recipient of an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Glasgow, his alma mater. His foundation, the Alma & Leslie Wolfson Charitable Trust has contributed substantially to numerous causes over the years.[1]
