John Van Der Wielen
John Van Der Wielen has worked in the insurance and financial services industry for 20 years and was appointed to the position of Managing Director, St Andrew's Insurance (Australia) in 1998. He is an executive member of the HBOS Australia management board and Chief Executive of the HBOS Australia Insurance & Investment Division (IID), comprising St Andrew's Australia, St Andrew's Life Insurance, St Andrew's Insurance (Australia) and BWA Financial Services.
He has an MBA from UWA and completed a major in international business in Malaysia with the Asian Intensive School of Advanced Management. He has also completed an international secondment studying Bancassurance in the USA and Europe. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management [1].
