James Rutland

James Rutland is a non-executive director and chairman of the Audit Committee of Kazakhmys plc[1].
Background
Rutland held a number of positions in Investors in Industry plc on the board of several small oil companies. In 1985 he joined James Capel's corporate finance group and headed up Hongkong Bank's resource lending group in London.
From 1993 to 2001 he was the finance director of Energy Africa Limited. Rutland is also the Finance Director of Osprey Oil & Gas Limited and the non-executive Chairman of Zeta Petroleum Limited[2]. He attended the College of Law, London, and was admitted as a solicitor in 1967. He now acts as a consultant.
