- to provide leadership in lobbying transparency and ethics,
- to provide leadership in reforming financial architecture,
- to promote a full-scale rethink of the EU trade policy,

- Freelance assistant at the Kurhessen Waldeck Lutheran Theological College, focusing on peace education and intercultural dialogue (1982-1986). School pastor, vocational school in Bad Berleburg (1984-1986). Participation in the project 'The World of Industrial Work and the Church' of Gladbeck-Bottrop-Dorsten Church District, Dorsten (1986-1989). Co-publisher and member of the editorial team of the periodical AMOS - Kritische Blätter aus dem Ruhrgebiet (since 1988). Head of the social pastorate (church service in the world of work) of Herne Church District (1989-2006); treasurer and member of the board of the European Contact Group, the ecumenical European network of church service in the world of work, based in Prague (2001-2006). Study supervisor for social ethics at Bochum City Lutheran Academy (2007-2009).
