The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), founded in 1922 and awarded a Royal Charter in 1957, is a global professional engineering institution with over 36,000 members in over 120 countries worldwide.

[2] In 2011, communications manager Matt Stalker stated that "the SMC has done a good job, helping journalists since its inception.
