Ian Baharie (Ian Walter Baharie, born May 1961) is a British consultant and company director. In a December 2025 investigation based on leaked emails, The Grayzone identified him as a veteran of Britain’s MI6 who was approached by William Wiley, founder of the Commission for International Justice and Accountability (CIJA), to assist a planned sting operation against a former staffer and to gather material on officials of the EU’s anti-fraud office (OLAF). Baharie is reported to have viewed the scheme with scepticism. He holds several UK directorships, including Sangrail Ltd, Different Drum Solutions Ltd and Perivista Solutions Ltd.[1][2]

Role in the 2024 CIJA / Wiley approach
According to The Grayzone’s 28 December 2025 report (based on leaked emails), Wiley arranged for Baharie to meet a former CIJA staffer (referred to as Verzeletti) on 26 August 2024 as part of a wider effort to counter OLAF scrutiny and gather compromising material. On 14 August 2024 Wiley emailed Baharie seeking assistance with “the target,” attaching briefing notes and asking for advice on how to approach the interview and whether an additional person was needed “if only to serve as room meat.” Baharie is reported to have responded with scepticism, asking about Wiley’s ultimate objectives (a private campaign or a series of private conversations with EU officials) and advising that it was “prudent” for CIJA “to map out the enemies and enemies’ enemies before starting any conversation or campaign.”
The same reporting states that Wiley referred to “Al” (identified by Grayzone as Alistair Harris of ARK Group) having recently briefed Baharie’s “old crew” — i.e. MI6 — about CIJA’s problems, and that earlier promised assistance from “the mob at home” had not materialised because the Belgian service would have needed to be engaged. The Grayzone characterises Baharie as a longtime MI6 operative; this characterisation rests on the outlet’s reading of the leaked correspondence and prior public lists. No independent official confirmation of his service has been published.[1]
