Emily Frith

Emily Frith worked as a special adviser at the UK Cabinet Office, focusing on health, from March 2013 to May 2015. [1] As a departmental adviser she worked with the Department of Health and the Department for Work and Pensions.

In January 2013, the local Liberal Democrats nominated Frith as their candidate for the Hampstead & Kilburn seat at the next general election in 2015. [2]

For her special adviser role Frith gets paid an annual salary of £65,000. [3]

Background

Before entering Parliament Frith worked as a policy adviser at Driver Youth Trust from June 2012 to March 2013. There she acted as policy and communications adviser for the charity, which works with children with dyslexia and literacy problems. [4] Frith was also a research associate at Prison Reform Trust, which meant she worked on the 'Care not Custody' programme to provide support for people with mental health problems and learning disabilities in court proceedings and in prison. [4]
