Dawn Primarolo

Dawn Primarolo was the Labour Party member of Parliament (MP) for Bristol South from 1987 to 2015.

In November 2011, Primarolo announced she would stand in the 2015 general election due to her age.[1] She was replaced by Karin Smyth who held the seat.[2]

Parliamentary roles

She was Financial Secretary to the Treasury from 1997 to 1999. From 1999 to 2007 she was Paymaster-General. She was a Parliamentary Under-Secretary at the Department of Health from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2010, she was a Minister of State at the Department for Children, Schools and Families.[3]
