Dawn Butler

Dawn Butler is a Labour Party politician who was the Member of Parliament for Brent South from 2005 to 2010. She was also minister for Young Citizens and Youth Engagement in the Cabinet Office. [1]

In the 2015 general election, Butler was elected back in to Government as MP for Brent South with a majority of 19,649. [2]

Having failed to be re-elected in 2010, Butler was given a payoff of £32,383. This so-called resettlement payment however has more recently been surrounded by controversy, following her recall to the Labour Party to stand for the Brent South constituency in the upcoming 2015 general election. [3]
