David "Didi" Arzi (also spelt Arazi) is an Israeli businessman and former Israel Defense Forces engineer who led the founding of NICE Systems in 1986 and was its chairman until the end of 1998.[1][2]
NICE Systems
Globes reported in 1999 that NICE Systems was founded by a group of former IDF engineers who "while in uniform, had worked as a team, under the leadership of David (Didi) Arzi". After "a long stint in the permanent army" they set up the company under Arzi and Benny Levin. NICE spent its early years as a subcontractor to the military industries.[1]
In February 1998 Globes reported that Arzi, then 47, would step down as active chairman at the end of 1998 but stay on as a director, to be replaced by Levin. It named his co-founders as Levin, Mordechai Golan, Avraham Lazar and Yoav Avtalion.[2]
No reliable public source was found on his later career or on the specific military unit in which the NICE founders served.
