Christel Bories is an aluminium industry executive who has spent most of her career with Alcan. She is also a director of Naxtis and has chaired the European Aluminium Association.[1]
Biography

- Ms. Christel Bories is an Independent Director of Natxis SA as of February 22, 2011. She started her career in 1986 as a Consultant at Booz-Allen & Hamilton and then at Corporate Value Associates. She then joined Umicore (formerly Union Miniere) in 1993 as Director of Strategy and Control and Member of the Management Committee. In 1995, she joined Groupe Pechiney as Director of Strategy and Management Control and in 1998, she became a Member of the Executive Committee of Pechiney. In 1999, she was appointed as Director of the packaging sector. Following the merger of Pechiney into Alcan, she became Chairperson and CEO of Alcan Packaging in 2003 and then Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Alcan Engineered Products in 2006. She successively served as Member of the Extended Executive Committee of Alcan and Member of the Executive Committee of Rio Tinto Alcan from 2007. As of January 2011, she is the CEO of Alcan EP. From January 2007 until January 2009, Ms. Bories was also the Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the European Aluminium Association, based in Brussels. She is a graduate of Hautes Etudes Commerciales.[2]
