Christabel King teaches broadcast journalism at City University, London.

Career

Christabel King has spent virtually the whole of her career practicing or teaching journalism. She joined a local BBC radio station in London soon after graduating from university. Subsequent postings included reporting from Europe, Africa and the Americas for the Today Programme on BBC Radio Four, presenting news and current affairs programmes at Independent Television News (ITN), being the East Africa correspondent of the Daily Telegraph and becoming the first presenter of BBC World Television channel. In 1999, she set up public service television in Kosovo for the European Broadcasting Union. She has taught journalism in Hilversum to middle eastern journalists and has been teaching broadcast journalism at City University for a number of years.[1]
