Catherine Hunt is a British civil servant who in 2023 was based at the Information Threats and Influence Directorate in the Analysis and Insight Department: Understanding hostile actor threat and global vulnerabilities Lead: Catherine Hunt//Simeon Welby
She previously served as Head of Analysis at the Government Information Cell, established in February 2022 to tackle disinformation related to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, before it was folded into ITID in 2023.[1]
She previously held the role of Head of Insight and Evaluation for the Prime Minister's Office and Cabinet Office Communications, where she led the development of the communications evaluation programme for HMG's COVID-19 response and established an extensive programme of research to track public behaviour.[1]
Before joining government service, Hunt worked in the media and leisure sectors.[1]
