Australian Signals Directorate
The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) formerly the Defence Signals Directorate, is a signals intelligence agency in the Australian Government Department of Defence, with its headquarters in Canberra.[1]
According to the New York Times, a 2013 document released by Edward Snowden showed that the ASD was monitoring a US law firm representing Indonesia in a trade dispute with the US, and passing the resulting intelligence on to US officials.[2]
