American Friends of Vietnam
The American Friends of Vietnam was founded by Joseph Buttinger in early 1955. It had close links to the International Rescue Committee and effectively functioned as an unofficial lobby for the South Vietnamese regime until 1965 when it shut down after its links to that government were exposed in the July 1965 issue of Ramparts.[1]
