London-based Iraqi opposition figure. Saddam Hussein's regime allegedly sent Omar Ismael to assassinate him in 2000, as reported in the Sunday Times by Marie Colvin on 14 January 2001. [1] [2]
In 2004, the reporter of the 2001 article denied that she had been taken in by defectors "faking" intelligence. [3] [4] [5]
