Alexander Schaub
In January 2007 Dr. Alexander Schaub joined international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as counsel. Schaub to provide strategic advice to the firm's clients on a wide range of issues of European law and policy across a number of practice areas and countries. He has more than 30 years experience working in a number of senior positions with the European Commission, including director general for competition from 1995-2002. He retired as director general for Internal Market and Services in June last year.
Frank Montag, a partner of Freshfield's, said, "Alex's arrival will give our clients and our team access to an individual who has been involved at the most senior levels of policymaking at the EU."[1]
