Adir Gruss is an Israeli technology entrepreneur and Unit 8200 veteran who co-founded the generative-AI security start-up Aim Security with Matan Getz, and is its chief technology officer. In September 2025 Cato Networks agreed to buy Aim for an estimated $300–350 million.[1][2]
Unit 8200 and Aim Security
Aim's January 2024 seed-funding release said: "Aim Security was founded by cybersecurity veterans Matan Getz, CEO and Adir Gruss, CTO who pioneered the use and adoption of AI and big data tools in the IDF's elite intelligence Unit 8200." The $10 million round was led by YL Ventures.[1] Ctech, which spelt his name "Gross", reported that Aim had about 30 employees and had raised $28 million when Cato Networks bought it.[2]
