The Health Committee is appointed by the House of Commons to examine the policy, administration and expenditure, of the Department of Health and its associated bodies. [1]

On 9 June 2010 Stephen Dorrell MP was elected Chair of the Health Committee. Ten more members were appointed on 12 July. On 2 November Fiona Mactaggart was discharged from the Committee and Fiona Fovargue appointed. [4]
