Zia Atabay

Zia Atabay is an Iranian exile assisting the US government with its campaign for regime change in Iran. He is the founder of Los Angeles-based NITV [1].

NITV is no longer broadcasting after running into financial difficulties in 2006. Some of the stations programs are now broadcast on Channel One TV [2]. Atabay a former Iranian rockstar founded and managed the station which he founded in 2000. NITV a Farsi language channel [3], was credited by the U.S. press for encouraging street protests in Tehran after the 9/11 attacks in New York. The station is also credited with encouraging the student protests of 2003 [4].
