Background
The World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) was set up after the Chernobyl accident in 1986. Its remit is "to improve safety at every nuclear power plant in the world".[1]
Key Personnel
- William Cavanaugh III - Chairman. He previously served on the WANO Governing Board. Ex Chairman and CEO of Progress Energy
- Zack Pate - Chairman-Emeritus. Co-Chair of the World Nuclear Association's Advisory Council.
