Werner Kuhn, MEP

Werner Kuhn (born 19 May 1955, Zingst) is an MEP for Germany from Christian Democratic Union of Germany. He joined the parliament on its 7th term.

  • Studied at Rostock University, Marine Engineering Department, graduated in engineering (1975-1979). Barth shipbuilding and ship repair yard (1979-1990). MGT Maschinen- und Gerätebau GmbH (Teterow), marketing management; management representative for plant design in the DIEHL Group (1999-2001). Entrepreneur (since 2005).
  • Member of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Regional Executive of the CDU.
  • Mayor of Ostseebad Zingst (1990-1992). Head of administration in the Ribnitz-Damgarten district (1992-1994). Member of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Regional Assembly (since 2006).
  • Member of the Bundestag; contributed to the work of the Transport Committee (1994-1998); Member of the Bundestag (2001-2005).
  • President of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Section of the German Red Cross.
