(Emphasis is put on the controvesial Beauly-Denny power line from Scotland to England which is being built by ex Chair Ian Marchant's Scottish and Southern Energy). At a certain length (see Erinys for example) the system keeps telling you the article is too long and it takes ages to load, so if one gets to that length it is better to split sections off into different pages, e.g. Bloggs Company in Nigeria, Bloggs Company in the US, or what seems logical. But there is no such thing as too short, in that if you only know one piece of info about someone/a group, you can put it in anyway and allow others to expand it. One guide you can use for the type of info to include is the headers given if you go thro Articles Submission procedure (recommended). or you can look at http://www.spinprofiles.org/index.php/SpinProfiles:How_to_Structure_an_Article which has some pointers. Of course if you are doing your spin work as part of your academic work then you will need to consult with David about how long your piece should be!

few little things:
1. can u give source for this

2. if using indented block quotes (using a colon to indent block quote), don't use quote marks in addition, unless you need them for quotes within the quote, if that makes sense.
3. use colon to lead into quotes, not semicolon, and avoid using "that" before the quote, in constructions like "said that:" Just "said" is neater. eg
When he got into power in 2001, Smith appointed a biotech lobbyist as his environment secretary. Smith said:
- I thought it was a good idea at the time.

coding names of lords etc

a quickie on doing the coding when you talk about a person other than by their real name, eg if they are a Lord or Baroness, as in

coding the category on a person's page
Hi Miriam
at the foot of a page with the name of a person as its title, in the category coding, you just need to add their name with surname first, then that page will arrange itself in the category under their surname. So on Kathryn Fuller's page (I've done that one so you can go into Edit and see what I've done) we have
[[Category:Aluminium Industry|Fuller, Kathryn]]
if you can add this naming style to all your new pages, that'll be great.

Hi Miriam, could you please make sure all the mining and profiles on individuals have their categories alphabetized, esp when you are creating new ones?
