At the TUC's conference in 2004, the TUC committed to pressuring the government to "encourage the development" of nuclear power under the motion C15. This also reaffirmed the TUC's commitment to a "balanced energy policy". Moving the C15 motion, Peter Clements from PROSPECT said: " Nuclear power should have a significant part to play in reducing CO2 emissions. "[1]
