Tom Clarke was the Labour MP for Coatbridge and Airdrie from 1982 to 1983, Monklands West from 1983 to1997, Coatbridge and Chryston from 1997 to 2005 and Coatbridge, Chryston and Bellshill from 2005 to 2015.[1] Clarke entered Parliament on 24 June 1982 – unknown.[2]

Clarke lost his seat to Philip Boswell by 11,501 votes after a huge increase in popularity for the SNP.[3]
