Thomas Bridges (2nd Baron Bridges) he is a hereditary peer and therefore became a member of the House of Lords, following the death of Edward Bridges, in 1969.

Lord Bridges ceased to be a member of the House of Lords in May 2016, having not attended any proceedings in the 2015-16 session. [1]
