Tessa Munt has been the UK Liberal Democrats MP for Wells since 2010,[1] winning the seat from Conservative MP David Heathcoat-Amory with a majority of 800 votes. [2]

Munt was appointed parliamentary private secretary (PPS) to the UK business secretary Vince Cable in the new Coalition government.

However she resigned in January 2015 after she voted for a Commons amendment calling for a moratorium on fracking in the UK, which was not supported by the government.
