The Strategic Studies Institute is the U.S. Army's institute for geostrategic and national security research and analysis.[1] It is based at the United States Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

The institute was founded in 1971 as the United States Army Combat Developments Command Strategic Studies Institute.[2]
