Ruth Fischer (1895-1961) was a founder of the Communist Party of Austria and a leading member of the Communist Party of Germany before becoming a prominent anti-communist after World War Two.[1]

Fischer reportedly worked for a little-known US intelligence agency, 'The Pond', for eight years, using the codename 'Alice Miller'.[2]
