Christopher Montague Woodhouse (11 May 1917 - 13 February 2001), also known as C.M. Woodhouse and Monty Woodhouse, was an historian, Conservative MP and MI6 agent. He was the Director General of Chatham House from 1955 to 1959 and was a founding Council member of the Institute for Strategic Studies in 1958. During the early 1950s Woodhouse briefly served in MI6, and played a key role in the early stages of operation Boot, the SIS/CIA plot to overthrow Mohammed Mussadeq.[1]
