Mel Stride has been the Conservative Party MP for Central Devon since 2010. He was appointed an assistant government whip in July 2014 but left this role following the reshuffle in May 2015.[1]
In the 2015 general election, Stride was re-elected with a majority 21,265. [2]
Stride now serves as a government whip in the position of Lord Commissioner (HM Treasury) as of 13 May 2015.[3]
