Martin Peat is the commercial director at the Strategic Projects Team.

Career

Between 1992 to 2004 Peat was managing director of three major construction companies.

In 2004 he joined the Department of Health Commercial Directorate as deal execution lead.

In 2009 he joined SPT as the commercial lead.[1] In 2014 Peat outlined what SPT saw as the main drivers of their approach to commissioning, number one on the list was 'the market', number two was 'improved services for patients' and fifth was 'reduced costs'.[2]
