Karl Frank

Karl Frank (1893-1969) was an Austrian Communist activist in the 1920s. He moved to Germany and was later expelled from the party. In the 1930s, he was the international representative of the German underground socialist group Neu Beginnen. In 1940, he emigrated to the US where along with his friend Joseph Buttinger, he was involved in setting up the Emergency Rescue Committee. later in the war he was heavily involved with Office of Strategic Services. After the war, he left active political life to become a psychotherapist.[1]
