Background

Integrated Decision Management says it "offers expert knowledge in strategic decision-making strategies. We specialise in the energy and environment sectors - areas synonymous with high public policy, regulatory and stakeholder controversy". [2]

In fact IDM is a pro-nuclear virtual consultancy, with ex-BNFL executives in key positions. It has been assisting the UK's Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) on assessing the nuclear waste options, including looking at key indicators such as safety, costs and the legacy passed on to future generations. [3].

This is despite the fact that one of its Director's, Gregg Butler is still paid by BNFL and two consultants are on the Committee.
