The Illinois-Missouri Biotechnology Alliance (IMBA) funds the pro-GM journal AgBioForum. IMBA's purpose is "to fund biotechnology research... directed at expanding the volume of profitable businesses in the US food and agricultural sector".[1]

IMBA has been funded by the USDA since the mid 1990s. It got its grant-funded status with the help of then Monsanto CEO, Richard Mahoney.[2]
