Ian Davis is managing director of McKinsey & Company since 1980 and has held roles as managing director of McKinsey’s UK office and leader of McKinsey’s consumer industries practice in Europe.

He has been active in the World Economic Forum, and other global institutions. He is a trustee of The Conference Board, the Presidents Council of the University of Tokyo, the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum, the Advisory Board of the Clinton Global Initiative (for the Poverty Alleviation Working Group), the Cambridge University Judge Business School Advisory Board, the International Advisory Council of the IIM Ahmedabad, the International Advisory Board of SOAS and the International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Beijing.

Mr Davis was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, where he studied politics, philosophy and economics. [1]
