Harry Kuiper chaired the European Food Safety Authority GMO Panel, the group of experts responsible for the risk assessment of genetically modified (GM) crops.[1], from 2003 to 2012. He was replaced by Joe Perry.

Kuiper is based in the Netherlands at the University of Wageningen's Institute of Food Safety (RIKILT).[2]
