Gordon Marsden has been the Labour Party MP for Blackpool South since 1997. He served as shadow minister (Business, Innovation and Skills) 2010-13. From 2013 until 2015 he was the shadow transport minister.[1]

In the 2015 general election, Marsden was re-elected with a majority of 2,585. [2]
